About AltarSchedule.com

AltarSchedule.com was built with the purpose of easing Altar Server scheduling

Altar Server scheduling is a tricky business. There are families to consider (these siblings should serve together), there are busy times in our lives, something can come up last minute.

AltarSchedule.com was built to ease some of that. While it can't serve Mass (AI isn't there yet), it can keep the noise down while keeping everyone informed, and allow for changes.

Volunteer Opportunities

Sometimes a special Mass comes up, whether it be a funeral, wedding, baptism, or something else. These will not be scheduled ahead of time, and will most likely require a few volunteers to fulfill. The admin can create the Mass time on the calendar above, and send an email requesting volunteers. These opportunities are viewed on the dashboard, and can be responded to there.

And volunteer a child. The parent will receive an email when the volunteer request is granted.

Communication

A parent can opt out of email notifications. Email notifications will be sent for responses to change requests. Emails sent to all parents include the schedule when it's created, and a change request from another parent. Reminder emails are sent each Thursday before the weekend, only to the parents who are scheduled for that weekend.
